Fillings & Fabrics

The type, gauge and spring count of a unit is often used to alter the feel of a mattress. However, the choice, depth and density of the fillings and fabrics chosen, enhance the overall comfort and feel of the sleeping surface. Opposite are brief descriptions of the fillings and fibres used within our mattress range, to assist you in making your choice.

    Visco Elastic
Highly resilient and heat sensitive, the superior viscous nature allows the foam to respond to body heat. Moulding to the contours of the sleeper, this works to eliminate the pressure points leading to a comfortable and supportive night's sleep.

    Graphite Latex
Produced with ventilation channels, the latex we use in our product is self-ventilating, controlling the moisture in the mattress. Returning to original shape, the material provides excellent body support and reduces the need for turning as regularly as a sprung mattress. Natural latex, in combination with graphite, provides a hardy and long wearing surface, increasing the standard life of your mattress.

    Reflex Foam
A branded, man-made filling which is used widely in the bedding and upholstery industry. This can be used to provide extra comfort and support when used with such fillings as Latex and Visco Elastic.

    Bonded Fibre
A careful mix of polyester fibre and resin produces the resistant and comfortable qualities deemed desirable in some mattresses.

    Compressed Polyester Fibre
Dense, compressed polyester, when used in conjunction with additional fillings, this provides a comfortable yet supportive feel.

    Cashmere
A luxurious wool & cashmere pad provides a sumptuous and supportive sleep surface.

    Re-bond
A man-made, high density filling, this is used to offer superior support within a mattress.
